Jesse was born in Washington state and raised with one younger brother. His father tragically died when he was 12 years old, leaving his Mom a widow. After graduating from Chaparral High School in Phoenix, Arizona in 1995, he accepted a full ride Basketball and Baseball scholarship at Southern Oregon State College. He played semi pro Baseball for the Oakland Athletics in 1995. In 1997, Jesse moved to Hollywood, CA and began his career in acting. ​​
Jesse Woodrow has had a very successful career in the Entertainment Industry. His most notable role was for the WB TV Series, Charmed, playing Rose McGowan's boyfriend, 'Glen'. His iconic Skyy Vodka ad was the inspiration for the movie Zoolander and reproduced for the first Zoolander film (pictured below). Jesse's love for the art of acting was ignited when he saw Top Gun as a kid and was inspired by classic films featuring Humphrey Bogart, James Dean, and John Wayne. He was featured in a L'Oreal commercial with Beyoncé, Milla Jovovich and Jessica Alba and featured in the films The Hillz and Beyond The Lights to name a few.​
​​Jesse was a rising star in Hollywood and there is no end to how much he could have achieved in his career, had God not called him out of the darkness that surrounded the Entertainment Industry. The more successful he became, the more temptation and compromise was presented to him. He was at all of the A List parties and was drinking and using drugs. He had fame and fortune but it did not truly fulfill the deep ache for greatness and glory that God had placed in him. Deeply broken and empty inside, he used substances to mask his pain. But the more drugs he took, the more he became addicted and dependent. His freedom and success was slowly slipping away as his addictions took over his life.
At the peak of his career, Jesse was hounded by his friend to visit his church. Jesse got so sick of him asking that he finally agreed to visit just once, if his friend would finally stop asking him to go with him. When Jesse stepped foot in the church, he felt an undeniable peace and joy that he could not explain. He also felt a genuine kindness and love that was a stark contrast to the cut throat and harsh Hollywood crowd he was used to. Jesse was led to Christ in 2003 where he was filled with the holy spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues. As Jesse was filled with the holy spirit, he felt God fill up every empty place in him. He also felt a spiritual high that he realized drugs were just a counterfeit for. Jesse's heart was set on fire after having such a supernatural encounter with God. He pulled away from his acting career and poured himself into bible studies and ministry. After coming across Irvin Baxter's teaching on the Godhead, Jesse was baptized in Jesus' name at Valley Lighthouse Church in Van Nuys, CA in 2005. 12 of his friends were also baptized with him that day after Jesse had shared the Irvin Baxter teaching with them. He assisted Pastor Andrew Arrowood at Valley Lighthouse Church where they experienced unprecedented revival and led many Hollywood actors, musicians, and entertainers to Christ, baptizing them in water and spirit (Acts 2:38).
In 2006 Jesse moved to Texas to work for Irvin Baxter at Endtime Ministries on the Politics and Religion show. He moved back to California in 2009 to continue his ministry in evangelism and started The Jesse Woodrow Show where he has baptized over 100 people in the name of Jesus. Jesse married Yvonne Reyes Woodrow in 2020 and they now attend​ International Pentecostal Church in Bellflower, CA under Pastor Dane Butler. Together, they built a successful national flooring business that is covered in the blessing and favor of God. Jesse received his Minister's license in 2024 with the United Pentecostal Church International. He is the host of The Jesse Woodrow Show and has helped found the UPCI Arts ministry established in 2025. He has traveled the world preaching, and teaching the word of God and Endtime Bible Prophecy.
